USE CODE AT TAKEPROFIT TRADER

TakeProfit Trader was our number one ranked futures prop firm going into 2026. It is now #10 on our list. That is not a small adjustment, and this review explains exactly why we made it.

The short version: the payout engine that built TakeProfit Trader’s reputation still works. Day one withdrawals from funded accounts are real, they are fast, and recent reviewers keep confirming it. What changed is everything around the payouts. In mid 2026 the firm doubled reset fees on its larger accounts, introduced a Sustainable Trading Policy that lets it restructure or end funding relationships at its sole discretion, rolled out an Independent Trade Execution Policy that puts group and copy style trading under surveillance, and created a restricted account tier called PRO+ Development that it can move funded traders into without warning.

None of these changes is hidden. They are all published in TakeProfit Trader’s own help center, and we link to the details throughout this review. But together they shift real risk onto the trader after the evaluation is passed, and that is the part most reviews will not tell you. If you trade in a live trading room, follow signals, or use an algo, read the policy section of this review before you spend a dollar.

Account Types and Structure

TakeProfit Trader runs a one step evaluation model with three account stages.

  • Test accounts (the evaluation): $25K, $50K, $75K, $100K and $150K sizes, simulated environment, end of day trailing drawdown.
  • PRO accounts (funded, simulated): granted when you pass the test. Day one withdrawals, 80/20 profit split above the buffer, intraday trailing drawdown, one time $130 activation fee.
  • PRO+ accounts (funded, live market): your orders route to the exchange through Tradovate. 90/10 split, end of day drawdown, no buffer requirement.

In 2026 the firm added a fourth stage that it does not advertise on its pricing page: PRO+ Development, a restricted version of the live account that TakeProfit Trader can place you in at its discretion. It gets its own section below because it materially changes the funded experience.

You can hold up to five funded accounts in any combination of PRO and PRO+.

TakeProfit Trader Pricing

Evaluation subscriptions are monthly and renew until you pass or cancel.

  • $25K account: $150 per month
  • $50K account: $170 per month
  • $75K account: $245 per month
  • $100K account: $330 per month
  • $150K account: $360 per month

TakeProfit Trader runs sales on a near constant rotation, typically at 30% or 40% off. Passing the test is not the last fee: activating your PRO account costs a one time $130, and professional market data on PRO+ runs $135 per month where it applies.  Often times the sales price will include NO activation fee.

Reset fees are where the 2026 price changes bite. Test resets used to be a flat $100. They are now priced per account size:

  • $25K test reset: $79
  • $50K test reset: $99
  • $75K test reset: $139
  • $100K test reset: $169
  • $150K test reset: $199

The $25K reset actually got cheaper. But the $150K reset effectively doubled, and since larger accounts are the ones most traders reset repeatedly while chasing a $9,000 target, the practical cost of a $150K evaluation attempt went up sharply.

PRO account resets are a different animal entirely. You get up to three, they are always full price, and no discount code touches them:

  • $25K PRO reset: $449
  • $50K PRO reset: $649
  • $75K PRO reset: $799
  • $100K PRO reset: $999
  • $150K PRO reset: $1,499

A single $150K PRO reset costs more than most competitors charge for an entire new evaluation. Budget for these before you need one.

Evaluation Rules

The test itself is one of the more straightforward in the industry, and that has not changed.

  • Hit the profit target: $1,500 on the $25K up to $9,000 on the $150K.
  • Never touch the end of day trailing drawdown, recalculated at each day’s close and trailing your balance upward. There is no daily loss limit on test accounts anymore, so the trailing drawdown is the only loss guardrail.
  • Trade approved CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX products during approved hours, no overnight positions.
  • Trade a minimum of five days, and no single day can account for more than 50% of your total profit.
  • Position limits scale from 3 contracts on the $25K to 15 on the $150K, with 10x sizing on micros.

The consistency rule applies to the test only. There is no consistency rule on funded accounts, but as of 2026 there is something with far more teeth, covered in the policy section below.

PRO Account Rules and the Earning Window

Pass the test and you get a PRO account. It is still a simulated account, but the money you withdraw is real, and withdrawals are available from day one. Here is how the economics actually work, using the $150K as the example.

You passed the eval with $9,000 in profit. Your PRO account starts fresh with an intraday trailing drawdown of $4,500, and that same $4,500 is your buffer. Until your balance clears the buffer, any withdrawal is paid at a 50/50 split and requires closing the account. Above the buffer you withdraw at 80/20 with no minimum days and no payout windows.

Then there is the ceiling. At $10,000 in total PRO profit, TakeProfit Trader moves you off the PRO account into either PRO+ or PRO+ Development. Which one you get is their call, not yours. So the realistic 80/20 earning window on a $150K PRO account is roughly the $5,000 between the top of the $4,500 buffer and the $10,000 transition point. Earn inside that window, withdraw as you go, and treat the move to PRO+ as a certainty rather than an option.

The other PRO rules to know:

  • Intraday trailing drawdown. Hit it and you are done. This is the single most complained about rule in recent reviews.
  • Trade at least one day per calendar week to keep the account active.
  • No positions one minute before, during or after tier 1 news events like FOMC, NFP and CPI.
  • Exit before CME limit up or limit down levels or lose the account.

PRO+ and PRO+ Development

PRO+ is the live market stage. Orders route to the exchange through Tradovate, the split improves to 90/10, the buffer requirement disappears, and the drawdown switches from intraday to end of day.

That end of day drawdown sounds like an upgrade, and mechanically it is. But understand what funds it: your PRO+ account starts at a $0 balance with a drawdown allocation built from the profits you already earned in PRO. The cushion that makes PRO+ feel roomier is your own money carried forward. If the account fails, the firm’s risk was largely covered by profit you generated.

PRO+ Development is the 2026 addition, and it is the one to understand before you sign up. It is a restricted version of the live account that TakeProfit Trader places traders into based on its own review of your risk profile. You do not apply for it. You get an email. The restrictions, straight from the firm’s published table:

  • Contract maximums cut to 1 mini or 10 micros on the $25K, scaling to 5 minis or 50 micros on the $150K. That is roughly a third of standard sizing.
  • A soft breach daily loss limit from $500 on the $25K to $2,000 on the $150K. Soft breach means it pauses you for the day rather than failing you. Worth noticing: TakeProfit Trader removed the daily loss limit from every other account tier, and it returns here, on the restricted tier only, as a control.
  • A smaller end of day drawdown, $750 to $2,250 depending on size.

The payout policy is unchanged in PRO+ Development, daily payouts with no withdrawal limits. The path back to a standard PRO+ account is roughly 60 days of what the firm considers disciplined risk management, and you can request a manual review by emailing your user ID to [email protected].

The firm frames this as protecting traders and its capital. Recent reviewers describe it differently: sudden moves into Development with little explanation, accounts sitting on hold for weeks waiting for credentials, and placements that reviewers say did not match their actual trading. Reviewers report moves happening even before any withdrawal was taken [reviewers report, see the Trustpilot section]. If you plan aggressive sizing, especially at the open or around news, assume you are a candidate for this tier.

The 2026 Policies Every Trader Needs to Read

This is the section that moved TakeProfit Trader down our list. Two policies published in 2026 give the firm broad discretion over funded accounts, and both are already being enforced.

The Sustainable Trading Policy

Published to the help center in July 2026, this policy says evaluation performance in the simulated Test and PRO stages should reasonably replicate in live PRO+ conditions. Traders whose profiles show what the firm considers higher risk behavior, aggressive sizing at fixed market moments like the open or major releases, reliance on simulation specific fills, or a material gap between sim and live results, can expect closer review, modified parameters, or the end of the funding relationship. The policy states plainly that TakeProfit Trader reserves the right to step in at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice, and may part ways as funding partners without prior notice.

Read that again. Trading styles that pass the evaluation, styles the evaluation is arguably designed to reward, can later be declared unfundable. The firm says these decisions are based on patterns over time rather than single trades, and the evaluation is described as holistic across execution, sizing, duration, drawdown behavior and sim versus live performance. But holistic and sole discretion together mean there is no bright line you can trade against. The rule is whatever their risk desk decides it is.

The Independent Trade Execution Policy

This one directly affects anyone who trades socially. The policy requires every account to represent an independently operating trader making discretionary decisions. Prohibited, in the firm’s own framing:

  • Entering or exiting trades in coordinated timing and pricing patterns with other users.
  • Mirroring another trader’s activity in real time.
  • Coordinated opposing or offsetting positions across users to reduce or neutralize risk.
  • Centrally directed or group structured trading across multiple identities.

The policy explicitly permits manually following or learning from other traders. But its surveillance systems monitor trade timing correlation, strategy similarity, sizing patterns, execution clustering and infrastructure indicators. Think about what that means in practice: if you sit in a live trading room and fire the same entry as fifty other members within the same seconds, your execution data is exactly the pattern their monitoring is built to flag, whether or not you clicked the mouse yourself. Enforcement can include profit forfeiture, account liquidation and permanent bans, and the policy states action can be taken before, during or after a payout review.

Trade copiers are allowed only across accounts you personally own and control, only from an approved list, and Replikanto is approved only in its Compliance Edition. Copying between different people’s accounts, pass services and payout services are banned outright.

Recent one star reviews are full of traders who say they were blocked or liquidated under this policy without being shown evidence of what they did [reviewers report, see the Trustpilot section]. Maybe some of them were violating it. But the pattern of complaints about enforcement without explanation is consistent enough that you should treat it as a real risk, particularly if your trading resembles anyone else’s.

If you follow a guru, trade a room’s signals in real time, or share an algo with other traders, this firm’s surveillance model is built to catch exactly that profile. We say this as operators of a live trading room ourselves: TakeProfit Trader is no longer a fit for that style of trading.

Payouts, Profit Splits and Withdrawal Fees

The payout machinery remains genuinely good, and it is the reason this firm is still on our list at all.

  • PRO: withdraw from day one, 80/20 above the buffer, 50/50 below the buffer with account closure required.
  • PRO+: 90/10, no buffer, withdraw everything from day one.
  • PRO+ Development: same daily payout policy, no withdrawal limits.
  • US traders are paid by direct bank transfer through Plaid, often same day. International traders use Wise or PayPal.
  • Withdrawals over $250 are free. Withdrawals of $250 or less carry a $50 fee, so batch your payouts.

How TakeProfit Trader Compares Right Now

TakeProfit Trader’s payout speed is still top tier. The problem is what now surrounds it: discretionary account restructuring, group trading surveillance, and funded resets that cost up to $1,499. If those trade offs concern you, the two firms at the top of our list earn their positions without them. Tradeify holds our #1 spot for 2026 at 9.8. Visit Tradeify or read our Tradeify review. Apex Trader Funding sits at #2 with a 9.8, and lets you run up to 20 accounts. Visit Apex Trader Funding or read our Apex review. Both firms are active partners of this site, and we verify their pricing at checkout every time we update their reviews.

Advantages

  • Day one payouts from funded accounts, confirmed continuously by recent reviewers, with same day Plaid transfers for US traders.
  • 80/20 split on PRO and 90/10 on PRO+, competitive at the top end.
  • Lowest E-mini micro commissions in the industry at $0.50 round trip.
  • End of day drawdown on evaluations, forgiving while you qualify.
  • One step evaluation with a five day minimum, among the fastest routes to funding.
  • Up to five funded accounts in any PRO and PRO+ combination.
  • 15+ platform options across CQG and Rithmic data feeds, including NinjaTrader, TradingView and Tradovate.
  • 24 hour live chat support.
  • Rewards program that converts spending into resets and account credits.
  • No withdrawal fee above $250.

Considerations

  • The Sustainable Trading Policy grants the firm sole discretion to restrict, restructure or end funding relationships, with or without notice. There is no objective line you can trade against.
  • The Independent Trade Execution Policy makes group trading, signal following in real time, and shared algo execution an enforcement risk. Live trading room members are squarely in its surveillance profile.
  • PRO+ Development placements are decided by the firm, cut your contract sizing to roughly a third, and add a daily loss limit back onto a live account. Reviewers report placements they consider unjustified and long holds without credentials [reviewers report].
  • The PRO earning window is narrow: 50/50 below the buffer with forced account closure, and a forced transition off PRO at $10,000 in total profit. On a $150K that is roughly $5,000 of 80/20 room above the buffer.
  • PRO resets cost $449 to $1,499, always full price, no codes. Three strikes at the $150K level would cost $4,497.
  • The $150K test reset roughly doubled to $199 under the new risk adjusted pricing.
  • Intraday trailing drawdown on PRO accounts remains the most complained about rule in reviews.
  • The PRO+ drawdown cushion is funded by your own carried forward PRO profits.
  • Recent reviewers describe PRO+ and Development activations stuck on hold for weeks to months, and support response times measured in days [reviewers report, see the Trustpilot section].
  • Withdrawals of $250 or less carry a $50 fee.
  • $130 one time PRO activation fee, charged even on accounts acquired with rewards credits according to recent reviewers [reviewers report].
  • Rewards points were devalued by half in 2026: redemption costs doubled across the rewards store.

What Real Traders Say: TakeProfit Trader Trustpilot Analysis

takeprofit trader trustpilot

TakeProfit Trader holds a 4.3 lifetime TrustScore on Trustpilot across 9,958 reviews as of July 2026. The profile has been claimed since May 2022, carries a paid Trustpilot subscription, invites customers to review, and has replied to 56% of negative reviews, typically within two weeks. A 4.3 across nearly ten thousand reviews is a genuinely large body of feedback, and for most of the firm’s history that score was earned on the back of its payout speed.

For this analysis we examined the 200 most recent reviews, collected July 11, 2026 and covering roughly June 19 through July 11, 2026, drawn from a full scrape of 1,899 reviews reaching back to early 2025 that we used as historical context.

The Recent Numbers

Roughly three in four recent reviewers award five stars, and the sample averages about 4.1, a step below the lifetime score. The notable figure is at the other end: nearly one in five recent reviews is a one star, a heavy ratio for a firm of this size and concentrated almost entirely in the weeks since the new policies rolled out. The most discussed topics are payout speed, customer support, and the new account policies.

What Recent Reviewers Praise

The payout engine still delivers. Recent five star reviewers describe withdrawals approved and paid the same day, first payouts landing without friction, and an evaluation process they found straightforward to pass. Several longtime prop firm veterans describe TakeProfit Trader’s payout speed as the fastest they have experienced. Support also draws praise in the five star column, with reviewers describing quick, helpful responses, a sharp contrast with the complaint side and a sign that routine questions get handled while complex account problems do not.

What Recent Reviewers Complain About

The complaint clusters are specific and new. The largest is transition limbo: traders told they are being upgraded to PRO+ or moved to PRO+ Development, whose accounts then sit on hold for two weeks to two months with no credentials and no timeline. The second is enforcement without explanation under the Independent Trade Execution Policy, with reviewers describing blocked accounts and forfeited profits, and saying the firm provided no evidence or specifics of the alleged coordination. The third is the PRO+ Development program itself, with reviewers describing placements after minimal funded activity, including one who says the move came before any withdrawal was ever taken. Beyond the policy fallout, reviewers describe support response times stretching from days past a week, billing and renewal disputes where promo pricing was not honored, and paid resets taking days or longer to reactivate.

Bottom Line on Reviews

The review record now tells two stories at once. If nothing unusual happens to your account, TakeProfit Trader pays fast and reviewers love it. If anything unusual happens, a policy flag, a forced tier move, a billing dispute, recent reviewers describe a slow, opaque process with little communication. The satisfied majority is real, but the one star ratio has roughly doubled from its historical rate, and nearly all of the new complaints trace back to the 2026 policy changes. Read the newest reviews yourself before buying, because the last month is more representative of the current firm than the lifetime score is.

Analysis conducted July 11, 2026, based on the 200 most recent Trustpilot reviews (June 19 to July 11, 2026) against a lifetime score of 4.3 across 9,958 reviews.

Conclusion: Is TakeProfit Trader Worth It

TakeProfit Trader in 2026 is a firm with a best in class payout system wrapped in the industry’s most discretionary rulebook. The things that made it our former number one are intact: day one withdrawals, same day Plaid payouts, low micro commissions, a fair one step evaluation. If you are a fully independent discretionary trader with conservative sizing who never touches signals, rooms or copiers, you can still do well here, and the payout speed remains unmatched.

But the 2026 changes shifted the risk balance against the trader. The Sustainable Trading Policy means your funding can be restructured or ended at the firm’s sole discretion after you have already paid and passed. The Independent Trade Execution Policy makes an enforcement target out of any trading that resembles someone else’s. PRO+ Development can shrink a live account to a third of its sizing on the firm’s judgment alone. Reset fees have close to doubled, and rewards points lost half their value overnight when the firm doubled the point cost of everything in the rewards store, a reset that used to cost 5,000 points now costs 10,000. And the recent review record shows these are not theoretical risks, they are being enforced now, with communication that reviewers consistently describe as slow and opaque.

That is why TakeProfit Trader now sits at #10 on our list. It earns its place on payouts alone, and loses everything above it on discretion, cost and sustainability.

How We Determine The Best Firms

how we review

In our comprehensive reviews of proprietary trading firms, we evaluate a wide range of factors to provide traders with a complete picture. We start by examining the company’s background, including its founding, leadership, and overall reputation in the industry. We then delve into the account types and sizes offered, along with the specific evaluation processes and trading conditions.

This includes analyzing profit targets, drawdown rules, and any restrictions on trading hours or instruments. We closely examine the profit-splitting structure, payout speeds, and withdrawal policies, as well as any commissions charged.  The pricing model for both evaluation and funded accounts is scrutinized, including any additional fees for data feeds or platforms. We assess the trading platforms supported, any educational resources provided, and the quality of customer support. Scaling opportunities and unique features that set each firm apart are highlighted.

We also consider the overall user experience, the company’s transparency in its rules and risk disclosures, and the firm’s reputation among traders, often referencing Trustpilot scores or other review aggregators.

Our reviews aim to give traders a thorough understanding of what each prop firm offers, enabling them to make informed decisions based on their individual trading needs and preferences.
